800g for the 600's I would be surprised if they where hollow.

I have the cheaper grx 11spd.
Have other gens of ultegra hydro on other bikes. I don't think about any of them. They work. They're comfy enough. Shifting is slightly crisper on the grx but that could be 1x and also in my head.

Ditto, it definitely have the pivot point moved compare to the road version.
I like it, pivot point placement doesn’t seemed to have any impact tbh.
Gnat annoyed that the left hand levers have a play (on purpose) despite being 1x only.
Shifting is definitely better which I feel is largely down to the derailleur and it’s clutch.

I have found that the flexible housing that come with the later Shimano derailleur doesn’t seemed to play nice when the GRX derailleur’s clutch is on, it’s only when I put a standard housing on the performance seemed to be spot on.
Anyone notice this too?

Ah I have 2x levers running 1x. Wanted to keep the option.

Run a dropper with it. Works superbly.
-
• #11359
I'd run it to a small, stem mounted spritzer that sprays cool water on your face, pure luxury on a hot, dusty trip to the local Tesco.

I have not tried it, just came to my my mind: would a star nut inserted into the fork from underneath work?
-
• #11361
Yeah considered having the option of that. Bit then if shits getting sendy enough for a dropper I want the MTB.
And this bikes dumb enough as it is

This I am down for.
Hmm. What else could I get it to control.
Maybe a remote kickstand So I don't have to put my feet down when I stop.
Or a glitter gun.

Can't be too hard to make it work a bell.
-
• #11364
There’s no hole underneath either unfortunately
-
• #11365
Shit that's actually a sensible idea.
-
• #11366
Sorry, I'll try harder.

GRX seems suspiciously similar to 105 with the ultegra RX derailleur. And a subcompact. Arkose was there first.

ulteGra RX
Hmmm...

Have you seen mountain bikes before?
-
• #11370
Last MTB I owned had 26 wheels with 2" tyres. Could be classified as a gravel bike by today's standards.

• #11371
I don't think anyone's claiming its particularly revolutionary, is just a groupset at the end of the day
-
• #11372
Rubbish, unless you give it bluetooth connectivity so you can choose various aromas and the strength of the the spritz. All without taking your hands off from the bars.

The hydraulic dropper one is brilliant.

Any recommendation on single speed gearing for my Mash work?
Currently running fixed, but want to put brakes on a freewheel. Got Sram Force 40t ring which I'd like to use. Not sure what size to put rear...
Will be used mainly on trails in Epping and Olympic park.
Thanks

19t or 20t.
The 19 will make the road riding slightly more bearable, but the 20 will be what you want when it gets sloppy.
Also don't deprive the sscx thread of this kind of chat. The gnarmac crew don't understand anyway.
correct.
