@starfish&coffee P'raps a couple of the characters were spot-on and indeed as a reflection of a country there is plenty in this isle of ours that feels pretty ugly, what I couldn't take was the barely hidden smugness of the two of them. I barely watched if for those reasons but the show being lauded reminded me of how the guy who came up with the FCUK logo/acronym for French Connection was hailed as some sort of advert/marketing genius rather than a hustler/purveyor of what Martin Amis had down in a pithy phrase as just another example of the 'obscenification of everyday life' or something like that. Interesting how the Fast Show is still funny, apposite and will last.
