That's bagel gappage that could be taken up with PB juice though. Mmm.. pb juice.

i tend to wait until i've finished the bagel, then use any PB drips to assist in the clean-up of any detached poppy and sesame seeds with a deft finger swipe or two

All this talk of PB vehicles has made me consider my practice. I almost never put PB on anything other than a spoon. Mainline FTW.

a new 1kg tin of proper nutty arrived this morning. hallelujah!
i'm going to attempt making some PB fudge this week to use up the remaining (too runny for me) pip&nut.

Clif bar nut butter Flavour are recommended if you want to get that peanut butter fix/near impossible to swallow while moving snack while you’re out on the bike. Ordered a box and it probably won’t be my last

PB flapjacks, made with Whole Earth Crunchy. (Without all the nutty/choccy goo on top, cos CNBA'd.) One of them broke in two during "turning out" so naturally they've had the taste test: Yum!
...edit... "Hope I got credit for it." Sorry, made by my girlfriend, but mainly because I'm not allowed to bake for my own birthday picnic.

After a massive helping of Meridian smooth (we have been slumming it during lockdown) with golden syrup on my porridge this morning the post arrived.
Big thanks dude. And happy to lob a Loughborough connection on there too

Inspired by some of the appalling combinations so far I decided to go with Chicken, Garlic Hummus and Peanut Butter sandwich for my lunch today. Would recommend. Used Meridian Organic Smooth (chunky can do one) and personally was quite a fan of it I'd say.

How long until you've perfected the recipe for others to shamelessly copy?
-
• #447
Well, it's good enough for me to keep shoveling in to my face. I suspect, like bread, i'll never be 100% satisfied and keep trying tweaking the recipe, although there's a lot less potential for change when there's just 1 ingredient.

Been making sourdough bread recently. Wondered about integrating peanut butter in the bread (not just on the bread)
Seems to be a thing

Can't believe what I'm reading. Butter on toast followed by PB. Always! You animals, no butter!

the job of the butter is to soak down into the hot inner crumb of the freshly toasted bagel, softening and moistening it prior to spreading a luxuriant coating of peanut butter on top.
obvs.
