Not sure that is smart. I need the hex key socket head on the screw to make it work.
I have a 130mm M8 bolt and I'll make a recessed nut like the ones you use on road brake calipers. Just longer and M8.

Please realise I am in awe of your engineering skills.
Studding plus a studding connector nut, and threadlock,
would allow a standard hex-headed bolt to 'reach' as far as you need. -
