Panniers are so much better.

Nice set up. What model is the rear brake?
-
• #704
Yeap, but more like an adapter going in between the fork crown and the tyre
Excuse my drawing skillZ

You could just buy an extra long “diving board” and run it upside down?

Ideas needed please. I have decided to do a bit of lockdown touring down to the southwest and want to do it on my old Gitane roadie (columbus frame) but it has no eyelets for racks (front or back). I have done a bit of trawling back through the thread but can not seem to see much on this subject. Any ideas how to solve this issue other than p-clips and cable ties?

Is lockdown really the time?
Thule make a rock solid rack, pack n pedal

Hoping for something more in keeping with the classic Italian frame. Thule is a little industrial.

And I’m not sure if these are available in the UK https://www.axiomgear.com/products/racks/streamliner-racks/

@Eeyorecore The axiom streamliner is exactly the kind of thing I am after. Unfortunately does appear to be available in the UK at the minute.

Tubus also makes adaptors to mount a rack to a QR

Think I have an Axiom streamliner somewhere that I haven't used in years if you haven't found another solution.

It is a chinese 'Litepro Short Arm V brake' – it is ok so far.

Like that.
What are other options are there for similar type of bags? I love the OrNot Bar Bag but in the US and out of stock.
Need one similar for my gravel when doing long single day rides

I found Straight Cut by sheer luck, was actually looking at the Swift bar bag, but it was out of stock in UK, and UK based so that's nice too.

I like it, hesitating with the lil pesto from wizard cut. Slight preference for the straight cut but no lead time with the wizard, how long did you wait for yours?
Also what are the exact dimensions?
-
• #721
Mines 3l, 23cm x13cm, the stock bag is 2l I think, lead time was good from initial contact to delivery was about 10 days.

• #722
Just put an order in for the standard size
-
• #723
When I’m buying bungees, the measurement they give is in its flaccid condition right? They don’t seem to give both lengths.
-
• #724
I'm pretty sure you'll like it, the quality is great, and the voile nano straps grip the bars superbly, didn't move once in a 60 mile ride.

Pannier for my cargo bike rear rack (Axiom MK3 Unifit journey) when the kids are in the front and we are going to the beach or similar. Needs to be something that also functions like a shoulder bag etc etc. can be comfortably carried around and plopped down with sandwiches in it. Can be taken inside the house and hung up in the hallway without being intrusive.
Nothing to techy.
kind of hip.
etc etc
Any ideas?
lengths people will go to avoid panniers !
