The speedboat represents a situation you are not in control of/actions without consequences. Tim is the boring/staid you. Reads like a howling mid-life crisis, but you’ve already joined LFGSS. Some other change on the way?
I’d buy the beer myself and wrap/pack cross fingers/hold my nose and send by Hermes.

On a separate note. I would like to send some traditional, English old man beers for a friend in Slovakia. What's the easiest way to do that? Buy some beers locally, package them up really really well and pop them in the post?
