Did actually out for a ride about two months ago. Managed 10km before I had a rear blowout at 57kmh coming into a bend on Vico Road in Dublin. Managed to low side and take brunt of it on my hip while I slid across the road with my bike in the air in front of a deeply stressed looking driver coming towards me... so miraculously the bike was almost entirely unscathed save for a tiny bit of a scratch on the left hand brake lever! My Rapha Climber shoes and Milltag shorts did not come off so favourably...
This photo is actually post crash so it really did come off fine. It was absolutely glorious to ride while it lasted, really properly quick and responsive! I need to get some new tyres glued up and onto it and get back out on it to enjoy some of this glorious weather now! From the extremely brief spin I had on it I reckon I can get away with chopping down the steerer for proper slams too although I'll wait until I've put some more kms on it first...
