  • Not sure if this is the right place but oh well.

    In my search for a day bed that I like, which could be used in a single room and which isn't hideously expensive, I like this Ferm living day bed from their new collection - https://fermliving.com/products/kona-bed-natural-oak-veneer

    but it seems pretty expensive for what it is, plus I have two of the Muji foldable mattresses, so was thinking how easy it would be to make something similar but to fit those. My initial idea would be get the measurements and then get someone to build it in cad and cut sheets to size and slot them together...or is it going to look naff?

    My ideal would be the Bautier guest bed but it's just so £££

  • that's got to be stupidly easy to build. you could just send a cutting list to a timber merchant, all from 18mm pale ply and knock it together.

    Reminds me of the Judd Libary bed or Wintergarden bed (but not quite as good imo)
