38.5cm on my 2014 disc.

Looks like 380 on my 2016 931 disc - it's currently wedged behind 2 other bikes at the back of the cupboard though so hard to be totally accurate! Fork on my 853 Volare is def 380 if that helps any.

Sorry, should have specified, it's the rim brake one I want to know. They could be the same, but it's probably a bit of a stretch to assume so.

Recommendations wanted: pedals for my new day one 20.
I have a pair of restraps I want to use on them, main use of the bike will be commuting and jumping on and off on family rides so don't want to go clipless. Any of the MKS work well with restraps?

Any cheap plastic flat bmx / mtb pedal works with restrap in my opinion.

i'm looking for a pair of flats to use with restrap diagonals but have gone down the rabbithole of internet research and not purchased anything yet...
ideally something with sealed bearings.which restraps have you got?
-
• #1209
The horizontals. I have nukeproof neutron on my fixed, which I am tidying up a bit, so got a new pair of restraps to go on there and moving the old ones onto the genesis (in anticipation of winter weather in glasgow). The nukeproof are great and might just buy another pair but wondered whether some of the MKS cages might fit.

ah ok, i think there are loads more options for the horizontal straps - they should fit most cage pedals.
the diagonal restraps are bolted onto the pedals where traditional cages / reflectors attach so there isn't as much choice. i've ordered a set of m:part pedals - not the most glamorous of brands but they look ok in the pictures. -

What bike you putting them on?

not a genesis, so not sure i'm allowed to say on this thread!

I use the GR10 with diagonal restraps. I like the combo

I've just bought this CdF 853 for my new commuter/weekender build. Going for GRX 1x11.
Does anyone know the order of the parts for the included headset? Top and bottom cups and bearings look the same, but what about the other bits? The leftmost circle has a seal around the outside.
-
• #1215
Middle right is the crown race. Bottom left is the top race. Assume the seal goes between the cron race and the lower cup.

Anyone here run a vagabond as a flat bar nimble 29r and have feedback?
-
• #1218
Get a size larger than you would with drops and be vary of toe overlap due to the short cockpit.
-
• #1219
I have a large 2015 (I think) CDF set up with flat bars which I find perfect - it looks like vagabond L has same reach and same head tube length so expecting it to be spot on?
Toe overlap due to short cockpit? Is toe overlap an issue?

Buy a mountain bike

Nah it’s for the commuter, been doing a lot of off road and 38c tyres just a little on small side... a little bigger with similar handling is what I want. I’ve already got a mtb that I never ride - basically it’s a mile and a half off road then 3.5 miles on the flat on tarmac - looking for the perfect balance.

It looks like you're right about the geometries, so that should be a non-issue.
I ran 45mm tyres with mudguards on my medium vagabond and had some issues with toe overlap at low speed.
Comparing a large Vagabond with a Large CDF on BikeInsights, it appears there's around 5 mm less distance between the pedal spindle and the tyre on a Vagabond. It is a good frame though! I'm looking into building mine up again.

Death before GRX

Less! Damn, I was hoping for more as already get toe overlap with 38mm and guards on the CDF. Hmm. Maybe I need a longitude.

Volare Disc framesets in XS and S going crazy cheap on Freewheel at the mo. 50% off!.... you don’t often see them second hand for that kinda money, let alone new!
Stainless and 853!

Can anyone tell me the a-c fork length on the equilibrium. Thinking of changing my frame (from a Soma ES), or fork (from a Thorn 853) as mine are a little mismatched resulting in slightly funky handling. The steeper HA of the Equilibrium appeals but I'm not sure if the A-C is right for the fork I have.
