Although in the end, the best thing I did to my CX bike was to get a new fork and use a disc brake, and we solved the chatter on my little brother's CX bike quickly and cheaply by fitting mini-V brakes. Cantilevers are far too much of a PITA to set up at the best of times, and half the time you end up getting parts made to make them work even halfway acceptably. For all of those reasons, I'm out.
