• My X-T4 has arrived and, from the little wander around in a howling gale, it's totally blown me away (ba-dum-tss).

One thing that has me stumped is transferring images to my Mac. Currently using a MacBook Air which has two USB ports and a what I believe to be a Thunderbolt 2 port.

The USB connection to the camera is glitchy as fuck using the Fujifilm X Acquire software (pop-ups galore), so should I just buy a card reader? Something like the Sandisk EXTREME PRO (there's a lot of capitalisation of the word "pro" with camera stuff, isn't there?) maybe? Although this is USB-3 so will I then need another adapter to fit Thunderbolt 2 or USB?

    I'm so confused.

  • I just use the one built into my IMac, which is from 2015, so I'm guessing it's not that fast, so I don't think you need anything crazy.
My raw files tend to be around 57mb on average.

What I wanted to ask is what do people recommend for viewing RAF extension flies without having to import them. When I had the XT3 I could view them in Finder but now it just loads for ever and I don't want to import loads of files into Lightroom if I don't need to.
