My main bike is locked up at work so it’s inaccessible for the foreseeable. I’ve been sharing duty between my GT Edge lolwtfbbqbike and my 1938/39 Parkes. Funny thought that I might have been the only person out today track standing and skid stopping on an 80 year old bike!
These wheels are early 50s 32/40h Fiamme sprints with Challenge 25mm tubs - not too difficult to find at a sensible price if you’re looking for period rims. Double butted stainless spokes from Cycle Basket and early 50s Normandy round hole alloy hubs. I think if you’re sensible with your choice of tubs and carry a can of Pit Stop hidden in your spare tub bundle under your saddle you’ll be ok with tubs.
