When I was living in Ouagadougou (capital of Burkina Faso) bin night was an old lady with a donkey and a cart collecting the rubbish from all the houses in the neighbourhood. Once a month her young grandson came along who spoke French and took care of the payment. I think it was around 2000 west African franc a month, around £3. CSB I know
