About 6 years ago I ordered a frameset from Hong Fu or Deng fu, I forget which one.
But they were happy to declare the value very low. It was actually them who suggested that it be stated as being worth less than fifty dollars. They also explained that they could declare something as being a 'prototype sample' and it not really having any commercial value since it was a sample not to be sold.
Frameset arrived and I didn't pay any extra taxes on it.
Of course this was a good while back, I've not ordered anything substantial from china since then. I imagine things might have changed a bit since then.But there's no harm asking LB to declare it as low as possible and to state that it's a sample product.
Ask them and let us know what they say...

I made the order with lightbicycle, they’ve said they’ll state the value at 220 using the EMS $1 shipping. They have said I can ask for a different value if I like - has anyone else done this or just stuck with the 220?
