Spotted multi-coloured Pedersen earlier in deepest Whitechapel earlier, then just now outside my house in deepest SE10.
Had a brief chat with the owner, but had to go to help Mrs Jangle unload the shopping.
If you are on here, the fat bloke who 'nice pedersen'd' you was me,

There were some young people doing fixie skidder tricks on their fixie bikes at the Olympic Park road course today. And another young person riding the circuit with a spok on the front of his fixie bike. It's was like being back in 2008.

Olympic Park road course today
It's shut isn't it?

Yes, loads of cones and barriers too, and I have even seen a member of staff walking around it to get a rider off it.
I can't preach, I've done nearly 35 miles on the MTB trails one my BMX with my kids in the last six days

That's a bit different though, the road track (for me at least) involves overtaking rather a lot of people normally and it seems hard to maintain effective social distancing while using it.
Not saying I'm fast btw, just that there's often slower road riders using it.

Someone riding from Camden to Highgate way on a carbon track bike brakeless with insane 1980s pursuit handlebars from the forks I would've asked you to stop for a selfie but alas I was too tired

I also did a loop of the crit circuit. Only one other person using it at 1ish. Good fun

Someone riding a lovely specialized rockhopper dad wagon, complete with basket and child, along crystal palace parade this arvo.

Is the road / crit course open for free use?
-
• #79815
No and people have obviously put gaps in the cones/barriers that are not meant to be there. Although way more people on the bmx track than the crit circuit that being said

That was me

Someone going round Regents on a Sunday best Colnago Master Mapei Team with matching kit

Pretty sure it's not just cones/barriers, there's a fence all the way round it. So you'd have to climb a fence and they have CCTV, security etc. So I'm quite surprised people are getting away with it.

People have been jumping the fence and riding ever since it was built. There used to be a lot of fixed gear training on there in the early morning before ThunderCrit was even an event there. Back then they didn't used to allow fixed gear bikes on there at all, so the only way for some people was to go really early and get some laps in before the staff got there.
