I don't think Honey Badgers service forks as a general rule.

2 extremes
- All riding, no servicing
- No riding, all the servicing
That is the HB way
- All riding, no servicing

Seems to be routed through the headtube here:

Once you've taken the HB advanced course, you can progress onto 'No riding, no servicing, all the eating'

I've just taken my forks apart for the 50 hours service. Only to realise I've run out of oil.
-
• #16082
Don't forget, I wrote that course.
-
• #16083
You've owned a bike component long enough to use it for 50 hours?!
-
• #16084
Could you make an amendment to include 'all the drinking' too?
-
• #16085
How else do you wash down the eating? It's in there as an Appendix.
-
• #16086
What do you mean use? I thought that you service the forks after owning them for 50 hours.

I'm in the market for something steel that uses 148/110 wheels and has 69/70º HT and 72º ST. To use with a 100/Rigid fork.
I'm not completely stuck on boost but i just have some wheels laying around.
I looked at the On one bootzipper but the angles seem a bit weird tbh
Any suggestions?

That's a very old school geo you're after. Anything modern will handle much better offroad.
The only thing that comes to mind is a Jones. -

Brother Big Bro? Something Surly offer maybe. For more £££ Curtis XC9 or Shand Bahookie.

I've started dreaming about driving down to the Alps to ride my MTB. Send help.

Genesis Mantle comes close?

If you can get across the channel you could probably ride to the alps offroad... keep you busy a while

Very dependent on what you ride. Classic XC geo is great for... classic XC.

Mk1 Cotic Solaris
Older Genesis Latitude/High Latitude
Older Stanton Sherpa
etc.
these all fit the bill except Boost rear, which is pretty rare for this geo in steel! -
• #16096
Classic XC is so much better on modern XC tho. I'm not saying you should have 77 degree seattube and 64 degree head tube. But longer reach combined with slightly slacker HA makes a huge difference.
