just because you might not get your costs back isn't a great reason to let his bullshit continue on unchecked
It's not a great reason, but it's a good one. A basic rule of business is that any action should have a cost:benefit<1, and instructing solicitors to commence a defamation action against hambini is unlikely to meet that test.
I'm just talking about the question of defamation, which is expensive to prosecute and uncertain in outcome. There might be other avenues to reduce hambini's ability to get his message out which do stand up to cost:benefit analysis. Apparently Twitter already think they're better off without him, maybe YouTube will too if his descent into madness continues and enough people file reports of possible ToS violations.

If you bought off his website you would think the company you were buying from is called Hambini, but there is no such registered company
If you buy off my website, you won't find anything at companies house under my trading style because, as @danstuff rightly notes, sole traders don't register as corporations.

his account is still active on Twitter - https://twitter.com/HambiniENG
and still tweeting shite...

his account is still active on Twitter
I was relying on @ric_a5 's report of hambini's own YouTube post, since I couldn't be arsed to check either hambini's twitter or his youtube for myself, and then reading between the lines; in 99% of cases where a cunt says "I'm leaving twitter", the truth is that they have been kicked off. In this case, it seems that it really was a voluntary withdrawal which I assume lasted all of 5 minutes until, like all narcissists, he couldn't resist looking to see what people were saying about him.

Well, I did watch that video and fuck me was I wrong giving that guy the benefit of the doubt...

Hmm yeah strange. I imagine he must have just 'de-activated' it momentarily and then decided to wander back to it now that he is bored and has been backed up in his views by his fans on youtube. The update on youtube is still there though as well.

I notice, nice to know I deserve to go under (that’s literally my old workshop in the photo).

Apparently bottom bracket standards are above employment in his hierarchy of needs.

Do you use a PO box?

Do you use a PO box?
No, but I probably would if I were planning to be a cunt 😀

Bingo
Also, if you were planning to lie about your career history

• #263
Given his USP is about being honest when others are being evasive or lying (his words not mine) then he’s a hypocrite as well as deeply unpleasant

Slowtwitch user says that they found a since deleted or otherwise obscured LinkedIn profile for "S. (Sachin) Hambini. Technical Authority - Propulsion Systems and Aerodynamic Integration at Airbus"

I don't think Hambini is a surname in any language, so I suspect that was fake / made up by him.
-
• #266
Given some of the addresses linked to Hambini on't'Internet I suspect his surname is Varah, as there are repeated references to an S. Varah at Hambini at their address. Might be someone else though.

I have no idea about this chap now but a few years ago I bought a really useful homemade tool for changing BB30 bearings from him on the back of seeing a few YT videos from him. He was helpful over email when the parcel hadn’t arrived. His full name is in the email which I won’t post here.
Fast forward to this point and it sounds like the fame has gone to his head.
To quote Partridge ‘I don't want to be infamous. I want to be f'mous...well famous’

Doxing is not cool, even if you believe the person you're doxing is bad.

100% agree. Cut it out with all this digging for personal details.

Let's see what happens when Airbus start deinvesting after brexit. He might end a bike engineer.
-
• #271
It's hardly doxing when the name appears on his own website. Unless I've totally understood what that term means.

In one of his videos he talks about solicitors sending a letter to his employer, due to comments Hambini had been making. The solicitors were representing FLO wheels.

JFC, what a shit show. It felt exhausting to read, never mind being involved with.
Edit: jesus, lost myself down a rabbit hole reading that Flo stuff on the ST and WW forums. Bonkers. Kinda feel like he's just a troll. He seems much happier slinging shit than answering the straight up questions levelled at him - which is particularly odd considering how much he blethers on about integrity and truth.

I'd take all of that with as much salt as the very salty Covid19 thread. In fact, I wouldn't trust a word he says.
IIRC he was asked to back up his claims about solicitor's letters, and failed to do so.
It may be that he's trading as a sole trader and not through a company.
