The feel of his spine through his skin was very worrying. We've kept him in since we got him back from the vet, at the vets suggestion and in accord with my own thoughts, and apart from periodic moaning about not being let out he's been really fun company.

FFS. Why do my neighbours need to put down weed killer 3 times in the same fucking week.
They are doing it again tomorrow so obviously gonna lock Patch in, it’s set to be sunny, so if they did it first thing ish in the morning, how long should I lock her in for?
Last time I locked her in for until about 10 at night and she was understandably a grumpy kitty the whole day.

throw some salt on their lawn and they may think they're killing it and stop.

What will the salt do? Will it actually kill the weed?

Their garden is a jungle and they seem to think the chemical will somehow make the weed disappear... that’s not how you do it, surely!

It kills everything and is near impossible to remove from the soil

Need to buy some salt first... but thanks for the tip.

This nightmare has learnt to paw at the blinds to wake us up. 7:30 this morning, what a joy. Now the weather is nice she also demands to go out for a run up and down the pontoon like a possessed thing. Discovered that she loves digging in the container on the roof where we are attempting to grow courgettes, even caught her pooping in it once so we have attempted to Gigi proof it.
She gets so excited when we leave the boat for a walk and she gets some time alone.

Got woken up early af this morning by this little fucker getting the shit kicked out of him by a big cat from down the road. Managed to break it up and was rewarded by being woken up again 15 minutes later with a headbutt to the face and a miaow so hard it sounded like he was about to throw up on me.

4.30 most days as one of them wants a cuddle or just wants to be annoying and sleep on the bed. Then the 6am feed me chorus......

Waily's been a bit down this week as he's been trying and failing to deal with a hairball. Managed to give him some hairball paste last night and he's in a much better mood today. Lots of rolling around and stalking pigeons.

The smelling of the babies head is such a ritual for humans, who knew it was for cats too.

No, got the paste and some better food for him. Seems to be improving. Trying to give him a good brush too when he appears.

Losing ten percent of your bodyweight is not to be sniffed at, if you have it to lose.
