Quick and disgusting mockup. It came with BB and headset, I asked for neither. But no seatclamp.
I'm very pleased with quality. Don't think you can get anything better for 750 delivered. It's going to make a very nice short travel trail bike.

If one could get a full custom steel hardtail frame made for UK riding, what would it look like?
Trails & jumps, bit of bikepacking & singletrack. 120ish fork.
What angles, what BB, what tyre clearance, what bosses, what cable routing etc

Nope, the frame was designed for NS bikes and they dictaded all the specs. This one is the Synonym TR, they also have race version which is 200 pounds more expensive and 400 grams lighter.
Haven't seen any progressive hardtails. Everything seems to come with a slack seattube and steep headtube. -

Saddle to bar drop looks epic from that angle!

The bike you currently have with a higher top tube so you have more room for a full frame bag. And loads of mounts.

The bike you currently have with a higher top tube
There's not really that much exposed seatpost on Phil's current frame
-
• #15971
I was actually thinking the opposite way and dropping the top tube further. The dropper post is slammed into the frame and with flat pedals, the saddle is just slightly too high at the top so I need to have a slightly shorter seat tube

There's no headset spacer stack, or weird length stem/high rise bars, so it must fit you pretty well
-
• #15973
It's pretty much ideal I think. Other than said dropper problem

I used to ride BMXes and dirt jump bikes. I want more more drop, not less! :)
Find me a wide fitting size 50 with a carbon sole and I'm sold ;-)
