Well, I can't recommend removing ano at all.
I this case I just polished it off.
In the past I have used Causic Soda, but I try to avoid chemistry if I can.
I am thinking about giving my Rotor 3d cranks a polish and again I would try to avoid chemicals or abrasives and just buff off the ano off. I can take some photos of my setup later.

Grew tired of the green. Put on my spare purple Hope and a black seat post collar.
Also found the adapter to run a 180mm on the front.
Order new grips and losing the green bar ends when they arrive.
Edit: and got rid of blue ano on the forks. Somebody should make custom compression toggles
