It really is. I find myself standing staring at it at every evening about 8ish, once the dust has settled on the day and the din from the surrounding gardens has dropped off for the evening. I know I’m incredibly lucky to have any garden space at all, especially in London, and I’m really feeling the privilege at the moment. I don’t know how I would be faring without an outside space for my kids to muck about in, and some welcome greenery to take my mind off everything once they’ve gone to bed.

My apple tree - after a couple of seasons of being blighted by lead curling aphids - is also a riot of blossom. hoping for a decent crop this year. I’ve already given it a precautionary spray with neem & soap earlier when it was budding, and if I see the first hint of aphids then the fuckers will rue the day.
