Haven't you lot got any bikes to ride?
Hate road riding and my preferred off road riding is deemed both too far away and unacceptably gnarly for these times.

This gives you an idea. Shot quality but now isn’t the time for ducking around outside with cameras.
7.4v lipo and a pretty sedate motor.

Made a start on the Durga bodyshell and wing. No under tray as this a bathtub design.
- Scored round the edges with a craft knife.
The shell is interesting as it has two cut lines at the rear, depending on how much air flow you think you'll need.

\2. Then snapped off the easy bits - the long straight sections. You get a nice straight edge but it will still need a spot of sanding.

\3. Curves. Slightly harder without curved scissors. The shallow ones you can break in to straight sections then snap away after scoring.

\4. Some quite rough trimming around the higher curves. I'll revisit these with the Dremel.

\5. Test to see if the cable layout for the motor would actually work. It didn't. Not enough vertical height above the speedo when the motor wires are exiting fully aft.

\6. Flipped the speedo around. Much better. Room for the motor wires to exit up and over.

Here it is with the pre-sanding body and wing dropped on top.

I need some help, please.
My son has a Wild Willy II that he (we) broke last summer. Now being the ideal time to fix things, I've dug it out for repair. On inspection the problem is a missing right side drive shaft. I've measured it with calipers (CAD pic). I think I've sourced a replacement (catalogue pic), but I wanted to check how they measure dimensions.
The existing left-hand one measures (by my calipers) 44.7mm externally, and, as best as I can estimate, 39mm center to center. The one I've found describes it as "39mm" but is this a center to center dimension, or an external dimension?

It's a French site, as the English site I found with the same part won't deliver outside of UK for now:
https://www.timetunnelmodels.com/live/catalog/tamiya-50883-39mm-drive-shaft-p-8934.html
I'm assuming it's the right size part, but any expert confirmation would be appreciated before I order it.

Think that’s the serial.
Each chassis has a code that refers to the ‘platform’ it represents, ie DB01, DN01, DT02 etc.
Looks like it’s WR-02

Yes, that looks like the one, though I can't find that anywhere on the chassis.
Not to worry, got the part info I was after, thanks for that. -
• #1169
Cool. If you still have the manual it will probably have the chassis code on the cover somewhere.

Buy another shell? One for running, one for shelf.
