  • Despite poor recent efforts, I thought I’d try and run a half today. The trick was to do an out and back, so once I was half way I’d be forced to finish it. I’m absolutely bollocksed, and it was a foolish idea, but it feels like it might be a turning point in getting the running habit back.

  • @nefarious Random question - did you do the half without any water? I want to do a half and might do a similar tactic, driving halfway before to stash a drink.
    I got into running 1-2 months to train for my first half which has been cancelled. Been doing 3 runs (5/10/15km) each week since lockdown and I finish 15km fine, not thirsty at all and like I could carry on. I should really do a few 18-20kms on a Sunday first but if I am at 18k I will want to carry on.
