They deffo don't like dry soil, thats for sure. I also read they don't particularly like tap water, so I've been running mine through a filter first.
if the blackfly is a general problem, maybe remove the top inch of soil and replace? - I'm not an expert, but surely that would get rid of any eggs that haven't hatched?
Calatheas – any experts out there?
Ours is a bit all over the place lately, drooping with brown edges to some of the leaves. Soil isn’t particularly moist but my partner is waging a houseplant war on blackfly so I’ve started secretly watering it.
