The story about tell no-one is that it was pitched around Hollywood and no one liked it, so it got made in France. Best foot chase in Evah

Impossible to find on t'internet otherwise, if you fancy a lockdown freakout movie. Man locks himself in his house as an experiment, and as this is a Ballard story adaptation, it isn't a comedy shall we say.

Not a film, but watched the National Theatre play 'One Man Two Governors' on youtube last night, hilarious!

I saw that was trending, something about the "audience member".

French thriller clique, if you can get hold of Les Lyonnais/A Gang Story, you're in for a treat.

It's excellent. Saw it live BITD and watched it with the kids last night who loved it.

Given this down time, I’ve decided to try and go through some of the ‘classics’. So far have seen Citizen Kane, 12 Angry Men and North by Northwest - all pretty good but enjoyed 12 Angry Men the most.
In contrast, I watched the Hunt and Bad Boys for Life.

Remember the meek jury member in 12 Angry Men? John Fiedler, the voice of Piglet in Winnie The Pooh:

Heima, visually beautiful and obviously a stunning soundtrack.

Yeah, a bit boff.
The banter between two of the main character was great, but the main villain had no redeeming qualities, found it hard to like him.
My partner also was a bit "wut/meh" about it.

Well, just got round to watching 'a quiet place' with the teens. What a great movie. Had us all on the edge of our seats and even stopped the snap chatting /tiktoking for 90mins. Excellent.

Finally got round to watching Eight grade last night. Pretty sure I'm not the target audience but I was gutted not to enjoy it more. Everything about it was well done but I struggled most the way through. Another A24 flick that misses the mark for me.
Hit the horror channel straight after and watched Hostel 3. It peaked too early with the face being ripped off scene and sadly never reached such heights after.
Good shout, some great french thrillers. Really enjoyed TBTMHS and was very happy every attempt (AFAIK) to remake Tell no one was abandoned as it's not far off a perfect action thriller.
The Connection isn't up there with those two but it's not bad either.
