Mentioned up thread shoes were being an issue for me.
Can confirm zoom fly 3s are fucking amazing. Held off posting for three tempo runs.
HUGE FUCKING STEP UP.

Inov8's arrived and they come up so massive!! I reckon even a half size down will be too big - does anyone have any experience with them?
-
• #22090
If you're used to what I call the asics hug, they will feel roomy. Better for your feet though. I found inov8 sizing quite true.

Not every run is great.
Some are shit. That was shit. Really wanted to stop for a pizza slice. So I might have.

I have a pair of inov8's and they're ridiculously roomy, maybe a full size too big. I find them reasonably narrow too. I keep thinking I'll buy new trail shoes but every trail race I do I tell myself is my last.

For sure, all my runners are 11 (including ascis) and my street shoe size is 10 or maybe 10.5 for trainners. I'm aware that the toe box on these is the widest Inov8 do, and I really like the feel andf space in it - I just think the shoe feels too long. There's a good thumb and a half between my toes and end of toe box.
I think I'm just going to have to order a 10 and a 10.5 for peace of mind.
@hats yeah the fit is narrow! the shoe fits nicely tho, no heel slip they're just too long - I reckon I could live with it but in the back of my head I'd have a nag..
BUT very impressed with them so far. Nice and light and they look ace - great to have a pair of british runners too!

Ditto.
The large toebox they tend to have can make them feel bigger.
Different shoes fit different people in different ways though.
There's no substitute for trying in in store.
And then buying 5 pairs in every colourway online.

I prefer the approach of buying online, realising it's the wrong size and wearing them anyway out of stubbornness.

Has anyone got a forerunner 245 music? I’ve got a 235 but I’m getting tired of needing to have my phone with me.
I’ve read some reviews and they seem good but would mind some anecdotal data... -

I wrote up the ankle advice that @greenbank posted and put it on my fridge. Its much easier to do all these things when working from home - alas, I've been in the office all week so I have to try to ice without my colleagues seeing.
In the spirit of honesty, I've barely done any of the exercises this week. I set a new 5k PB last night (LOL still slow) and my ankle is massive and painful today, not sure running again tonight is a great idea. Hmmm.

yep unfortunately trying on in store is obv currently not possible - and all my trainers are gore tex and making my feet boil!
I think half a size down might be the ticket...
Out of curiosity how much space around your toes do you go for? I've always been told a thumb width in front is about right.

I like to then double down and buy a second pair.

I've only ever gone by feel - As long as my little toe isn't squished, that's fine by me.
