https://www.fruitgeek.co.uk/At Fruit Geek we have been following the developments of the
Coronavirus outbreak and took the decision to close temporarily on the
23 March, based on guidance from the Government and in the interest of
the health and wellbeing of staff and others.Today we are able to announce that we can now operate on a limited
basis offering remote Mac support sessions, emergency hardware repair
for Mac, iPhone & iPad repairs, the sale of new and refurbished Apple
products. Our office and workshop in Bexley Village remains closed to
the public.
In order to do this we are offering a FREE collection and return
service in Bexley Borough and some surrounding areas. We have put
measures in place that mean we can do this safely, contactless and
observing social distancing guidelines. In addition to this we are offering a 40% discount on repair labour to
all key workers for Mac, iPhone and iPad, until further notice.*
I appear to have killed my 2016 MacBook Pro!
This morning it was fine running loads of programmes at the same time and two screens. Now, it starts incredibly slowly with fans on full blast. Almost unusable when running, with fans maxing out and CPU through the roof. Task manager can't show CPU usage at all. Diagnostic check shows everything running as normal. Reset SMC & NVRAM/PRAM has done nothing either. Even finder doesn't work.
Is there anywhere open that I can take it to get fixed? Obviously, Apple stores are closed. Any recommendations?
