A year later, I finally scored the full set of Merckx Panto bits for the Signature. Thinking about changing the tape for some yellow benotto while I’m at it...

Cheers! The often used phrase 'rides as if on rails' is an apt description of its character. Certainly not a light and nimble bike but super smooth and surprisingly fast :)

Bigger Tyres & a Flite for the Marin. Took it out for the first time this year and I almost forgot how much it is.

Crazy paint, so bright. Black rims look really good as well.

Wow! That looks amazing and having ridden those wheels I can imagine how good it rides. Well played!

Almost too bright for the phone camera :) quite remarkable considering that it’a almost 30years old.
@cheekysnaker I only wear these when I’m out on this bike. They should probably be period correct, too.
@vp1337 thanks, the colours of the anodizing doesn’t really match all too well but it doesn’t really bother me. It’a barely visible but the QRs & pulley wheels are anodized, too.
@Tallboy they do feel special indeed :) -

A few more scenic shots of the bottecchia in its current state. Can’t help wondering what it would look like with silver box section rims, stainless guards & TA specialites cranks.... Mhh.

No steel but outdated nontheless. I found a cheap cannondale m300 locally. As an entry level cannondale, it was eqipped with shitty parts but the frame is rather well made. The condition on this one is lovel and to my surprise, I quite like the matte paintjob. I stripped it down today and threw some parts on it. Plan is to build it up with parts bin 7 speed lx/dx/xt components and tan wall city jets.

You (almost) never can go wrong with a 90s cannondale frame

Ha, I'm more than honored then, and you've done it better than I did any of my builds ever!

Finished the cannondale today and took it out for a little ride. It’s a good fit and quite fun to ride. Definitely more relaxed than sporty thanks to the swept riser bars. Unsurprisingly though, the 1x setup with a narrow chainring and a 7 speed chain made for a couple chain drops so I put a front derailleur on as a chain guide.

Excellent, that looks great. Inspiration for a frame I've got lying around. Where in the world are you, with a combination of hops (?) and wind farms?!
DIY flaps for the Single Speed Commuter. I still need to extend the short bit of the rear mudguard to shield the BB area from dirt. I really love this thing. Quality components, ratty looks and simplicity make it a perfect everyday bike.
