Giro HV are narrower than Sidi Mega which are narrower than STANDARD lakes let alone WIDE lakes

I did this for the same reason- 650+ felt sluggish and ‘a bit dead’ so I swapped from 2.6 650 to 2.25 29er and it feels much better. Easier to corner for me and rolls better.

This might be a reflection on where I ride and might not work for everyone

Just been to the pump track to find it locked, so I guess I'll take that as "1 hour of exercise, and you better not enjoy it"

Does anyone know anything about trails in Woolwich/Bexley/Dartford area?

Yesterday I've ended up in Joydens Woods accidentally and there were nice trails but in very poor conditions. Now I'm reading article about locals furious about irresponsible MTBers destroying their woods..

would this be a good starting point for my nieces first foray into new bikes

I’d get a Vitus Nucleus from Wiggle for a touch more (unless you’ve got a platinum status). Consistently wins best budget mtb on MBR, BikeRadar etc. I’ve got the model above and it is great.
