A year old hi mod supersix for £400, I’ll have one in a 58/60 please

It would be this color scheme

Hefty discount because it's not the current (and gopping) model.

Just bought a slightly earlier frameset for £600, if that helps...
-
• #12281
I bought one for sub £350 earlier this year

the post 2014 frames are still worth around the 600 - 800 colourway depending. The black and silver one can fetch north of a grand if it is one of the rare ones still looking good and not flaked away.
The pre 2014 ones (curved fork basically) are worth a fair bit less cause they're really quite old now and only really fit 23c tyres

The one on eBay? I offered £500 and was ignored. My max would be £700 I think.

The ones under the stem shall be removed promptly as soon as this all blows over, for now it is not 'essential'*.
*I've been mountain biking exclusively recently, my back can't take it. I've got a -17mm stem and plan to slam for summer.
PS: Would these Hope Rotors in purple be too much??

That one, he's asking 800, but also 2nd/3rd time relisting it
Edit: Pretty sure he'll go quiet on me too

In my opinion yes. And I have a purple bike (Surly Straggler) with orange hope hubs.

Yes - it won’t match. Maybe a contrasting colour?

• #12288
The people have spoken. Black it is!
-
• #12289
That sounds cheap for a hi-mod
Edit- page refresh fail

Isn't any frame, or anything really, only worth what someone is willing to pay for it?

Yes. Suspect that people will not be spending too much on bike frames at the moment for obvious reasons so prices are going to take a big - and hopefully temporary - dip. Or supply will dry up as people hold on to things until ‘times are better’.
They are in for a long wait.

It's been on there ages, so I had thought a low offer might at least give some indication of what he'd take.
-
• #12293
Only if the seller needs to sell.
-
• #12294
Of course, which they apparently don't. I've had it on my watchlist since way before Corona, so I would have expected it to come down a bit.

stockpiles HM frames
-
• #12296
Yeah. Lots of people on eBay just hold out for months and months in the hope for a unicorn buyer that never shows up. Bit lame really.
-
• #12297
Funny how people that don't need to sell for money are actually the greediest

I’d say that approach works three times out of five for me. If you’re not in a rush, why not? I had my old synapse frame on eBay for about 3-4 weeks at £500. Consistently got offers around £250-300 that I let go and then one day someone offered me £450. You don’t owe anyone a favour if you’re not in a rush. If you did the same with your house people wouldn’t call you greedy, they’d call you an imbecile for doing anything less

I've definitely done it with things I know someone will want, like odd vintage bike stuff which will eventually go for £20 or whatever. It just sometimes takes ages!

I've gone to discs, so would anyone be interested in a red 22 group (minus cranks) and a set of stayer 60/50 wheels before I go and make a proper post? I'd considered buying that HM above to put it on but would rather have etap on the main bike...
a friend bought one for 850 and there was some bidding . color scheme has a big influence.
edit : 850 for the 2018 black/chrome
