probably not quite as simple then!
apparently with santacruz you have to cut the bb shell out of the frame and post it to them!
-
• #10780
That's a shame, at least you get a new bike though.
-
• #10781
seems like a proper shame though for what could be quite a minor repair...
-
• #10782
I suppose the rest may still be repurposed with a new BB shell

a new bike i dont´t want because its the complete opposite of my bike now.
i´ll try to get a more usefull frame for me or at least some kind of refund to buy a new one. as my last option i can give it to a friend who is a car mechanic. he fixed some bikes for us in the past

Kind of hope this is true, something very Godfather about it. Colnago, they'd definitely do it.

oookay, specialized seriously wants to send me a full carbon sequoia from 2015 as a replacement for my full steel bike. and i need to send them a proof that i saw thru my old frame in order to send the new one... don´t really know what i should do now
Just do it and sell it.
There are no carbon Sequoia tho, they best not mean old Diverge.
-
• #10786
sorry, i got confused, they want to send me an old full carbon shit looking diverge
-
• #10787
That’s fairly common with warranty, had to do the same with Santa Cruz, Cervelo, Trek, Transition, etc.

• #10788
Decisions, decisions...
Also not a gravel bike...

Wait, the old quick release one and not the thru axle one? That even got post mount brakes.
The shop need to argue back that this would required a lots of changes in components, they should give you a carbon thru axle one and flat mount.
-
• #10790
It apparently has thru axles but yes post mount brakes. didnt even saw that, thanks for pointing this out.

• #10791
Dont accept their first two offers even though they are generous . The diverge frames where dirt cheap as trade hence why they offered you this . I dont see an option for a pizza rack unless you sell it. My girlfriend has an old 52 sequioia btw🙏
-
• #10792
Stupid question, you can't use the Sequoia fork on the Diverge?
-
• #10793
probably could work, but the diverge they want to send me isn´t one from this year i suppose and maybe the steerer is to short
-
• #10794
No way i would accept a 5 year old plastic frame as a replacement for a sequoia.
-
• #10795

The recent Diverge you can, the one pre-Sequoia you can’t.
-
• #10796
I´ve expected he meant a diverge from this year, this would be something i can live with or at least sell and buy another frame off. lets see...

Not sure that is the best place to ask, but I figured the gravel peeps in here should have experience with converting cranksets to smaller gears...
I have a rival22 crankset with 52/36. I'd like to switch the 52 for 48 chainring. Sram seems to recommend to run 48 chainrings with 34's.
I'd like to keep the smaller ring though. So I was wondering if it 48/36 also technically works, or are there any problems to be expected? -

So I was wondering if it 48/36 also technically works
Sram sell a Rival 46/36 chainset, so I'd have thought so

Yeah, 48/34 and 46/36 is confirmed to work by SRAM. But not 48/36. So that's why I'm unsure.
should be easy enough to do - take 2 photos of the bike on the floor in different positions, and one photo just of the floor without the bike, with the camera in a fixed position.
then you can end up with something like this pretty easily i think.
