I hate exercise, that’s why I cycle. Have tried some skipping, but quarantine is likely going to be quite lazy.

Struggling to move, burpees in 5 sets again it is.

I'm on day 3 of a 4 week FTP booster.
My weight has been going down a bit due to less extensive lunch compared to the office. At 82kg now, I'd be happy to hit anything between 78kg and 80kg.
I should just cut the red wine but there's only so many sacrifices to be made during lockdown I guess.

You can rationalise red wine in a weight loss diet due to mental health benefits (and sketchy articles about reservatrol)

True that!

Log spitting
WTF? hardcore.

I'm incredibly unfit at the moment but I'm quite enjoying doing this

FFS I knew there was a reason I don't exercise, ow.

It’s much more cardio than strength. Lift axe up and let gravity do the work. Or you can put more impetus into it. Gnarly lumps with loads of side branches are the real challenge as it means there are branches running through the log at 90 degrees to the grain of the wood, stopping it splitting open. Great to let out a little burst of energy.
We joke that some people back in London are wannabe lumberjack redneck hipsters, where we have actually gone full hog and get to play at it, not just fancy dress.

Day 2 of the century of bastard burpees - done 3 sets of 20 with pushups & 1min rest in between then went back to sets of 10 with 30secs rest, be interesting to see if I can progress to 5 X 20 with a minute or whatever inbetween before wild fatigue from daily sets in & knocks me back...

Neutrogena Norwegian Formula is my favourite.
What has LFGSS become?

I did 30 then 40 rep sets at 8 seconds between reps last 30 to go but just had lunch, not looking forward to last 30. DOMS are serious today but feeling fitter already.

Is anyone doing burpees in an old Victorian terrace? Will my downstairs neighbours hate me if I do it? Or should I ask them what time they would prefer me to work out?
-
• #65
That's a good shift - i'm hoping to progress to 5 x 20 with a minute or so inbetween then see how it goes from there... maybe start flinging in some crossfit bro backflips & shiz once i'm proper smashing it up the moon's arse, lol
@plantasia if you keep your form good & don't just crumple to the ground you should be fine - I don't do the jumping bit though, that might shake a few ornaments

Thanks for the leg workout link. 7 week progression perfectly aligns with the remainder of a training block on the bike.
I really didn't think I'd miss a squat rack in my life.

50 more, just under 10 minutes with a break between 10s. Press ups parts are more like little plank dips though as I'm weak and hurt a lot. Jumping ain't too bad if you land properly. Not gonna manage 100 anytime soon, maybe once the aching settles in I can do morning and afternoon 50s.

The only time I ever find myself wanting to correct people in the gym is when I see the collapsing to the floor style burpees... obviously I never actually do it cause I don’t wanna be one those guys

Following this too - 100 burpees at least each day and throwing in some additional exercises around them.
-
• #70
I'm thinking all the additional exercising will offset some of the additional eating/ drinking.
-
• #71
Key word "offset"
For me anyway, my diet is usually pretty good but that's gone right out the window... hey it's Friday! To the lager & enormous bags of crisps! Same as last night!

Key word "offset"
Should have been "may" offset too.

Yeah, it's all just damage limitation from here on in!

This is the thread I’d hoped for, cheers all : )

Last 30 done 7 seconds apart, so glad it’s over! Food and booze now, there’s no way I’m trying to lose weight over this period I don’t want to be a grumpy bastard.
I get awfully cracked and dry hands in the winter and all this washing is proving a nightmare. This stuff has been great https://www.aldi.co.uk/lacura-natural-hand-%26-nail-cream/p/702039330655400
