  • Decided to give the 100 burpees a day thing a go - thought about press-ups initially but then saw something about burpees & remembered how much I hate them so they must be good for me right? Added in the press-up & removed the jump as my knees are made of shit & do not like being bounced up and down plus I quite like press ups.

    10 sets of 10 with a minute or so in between - was struggling at 30 but then started getting into it a bit more, wasn't properly warmed up so that explains that. At least 10 of the press ups were done with a 3 year old sitting on my back for an extra challenge - not my choice - didn't feel too bad but tomorrow morning might be a different story when I try to do another 100...

    The chicken coop is finished so i'll start doing Rocky-esque chicken harassing round the garden when I get a couple off the neighbour to mix up the cardio, been out on the bike a couple of times in the last 2 weeks for about 20 miles at a time - it's pretty rural where we are so there's more bikes on the roads than cars at the minute, everyone seem to be going solo which is good to see.

    I might have to emulate this. My knee / hip hates me but I can work my upper body ok it seems. Plus I'm an upstairs flat and my neighbours do not need me doing cross fit burpees every day.

  • Yeah, I really need to slow it down & concentrate on my foot / knee / hip position when doing these - which is probably a good thing as it makes you think more about technique rather than going at it like a wildman trying to do them in under 5 minutes
