  • Boom! 12w gain for me too earlier. Although need to verify via a TTE test tomorrow or Monday.

    Quite happy considering I’ve done very little since last summer. Long way to go to get back to that mind :-)

  • 375w, would normally be worried about being able to do any training with that number setting the zones, but am 6 months into TR properly and every jump has corresponded to sessions that are manageable.

    That said, Build next with a lot more 30-45min intervals :(

  • The PDW metal mudguards fit over the trainer okay. It’ll depend on your frame and guards I guess tho

  • Without having a turbo (well, I've got a really old school one somewhere but no real space to set it up) I wish I had a Kickr/Wattbike/Peloton/etc and I'd be on it to keep fitness up.

    If I actually had one I'd be staring at it each day and thinking "meh, tomorrow".

    2-4 week lead time for a peloton, and you can get it on 0% finance (although it's £56/month for 3 years, and that doesn't include the £39/month for the online classes).

    Reckon there will be a lot of 2nd hand DD trainers on the market whenever this lockdown ends...

  • True, probably not worth worrying about. I'm still working as much as I ever was, and I can barely manage 20 mins a day yoga, not to mention allotment/garden/design projects. I never was very fast anyway so nothing to lose.

  • Is the lever meant to fit entirely in this indentation on my cycleops trainer? Feels like it would need considerable force.

  • and some other stuff like serial numbers, purchase receipt. There's a reporting page on their website. Log a call, provide details, they examine and replace if it's the same fault I guess.

  • Advice needed; a mate and I have decided to have a six stage virtual race, as we are quite evenly matched, effectively 6 time trials. Over a variety of courses no more than an hour.
    I’m 75kgs and ftp of 255
    He is 65kgs and ftp of 225
    I’m guessing I should have slight advantage on flatter courses and he over hillier ones.

    Any suggestions for tactics?
    Also what sort of assumptions should I make as to how much power I should be able to average for 20 mins 30 mins 45 mins etc.

  • Assuming this is Zwift, every race starts with a mandatory 3-5’ vo2 max effort before everyone holds on for dear life. To keep things authentic I’d start with that.

    No idea what your PD curve days you can maintain over 15, 20, 30 etc. You’ll have to find out.

  • If you have a decent amount of data on strava you can sign up to intervals.icu and it’ll show you power curves and PBs for seasons / years.

    I appreciate there will be some personal differences but wonder if there was a rough rule of thumb.
    Or if I should go to a set figure for climbs or I dunno...
