Sounds interesting! Was it any good?

Yes and no.
Ends a little weakly, leaves loads of questions (not necessarily a bad thing)
It's on Netflix -

Might check it out tonight, sounds up my street. Thanks!

There's some good stuff on there! Didn't realise Birds of Passage was on Netflix, been meaning to watch that for ages.

Just watched this. Would recommend, I thought the ambiguity was a good thing. Really didn't like the sound track but other than that thought it was decent! The american dub drove me mad for the first 5 minutes until I worked out you could set it to the original Spanish audio with english subtitles though.

Some amazing stuff on the BFI film library.
Euro-sleaze seems to feature
Borowzyk's the Beast, and Immoral Tales
Salon Kitty
A couple of Peter Greenaway films
And Argento slashers
Eurosoftcore is now arthouse. Who picks this stuff?
(No complaints though) -

Watched the Platform last night, it’s on Netflix. Pretty interesting watch - a bit like Snowpiercer on a train but with a bit more eating.
Ah as yes @DethBeard said ^

I thought Bacarau was like a Fistful of Dollars crossed with the Vicar of Dibley

Also rented Honeyland a few days ago. Absolutely fantastic documentary about the struggle of a Macedonian beekeeper.

That's a brilliant list

I was amazed that the directors were only intending to make her and her mother the subject of the documentary, they had no idea the travelers would arrive.

It got me to sign up to the BFI channel on Amazon which as (as I posted above) the most amazing set of films.
Free trial 7 days then £4.99 a month I think.

Yeah, when they first arrived I thought it must have been a set-up. But then I did some research and found out it was shot over 4(?) years so definitely more credible.

I watched this with my parents when I was far too young to appreciate it and thought it was just slow and boring, I rewatched it a few days ago and absolutely loved it. I can't stop thinking about it, so good, so melancholic.

Oh, also, I watched Bait last night. I enjoyed it a lot. Apparently filmed on a hand cranked 16mm camera and hand processed. It looked great in a knackered, ancient way.

Just watched Wonderful Losers: A different World on Amazon. Behind the scenes at the giro, gnarly AF. Brilliant framing, the camera goes for the ugly shot every time, sound is fantastic too.

I’m on S01:E01 of the Simpsons.
Let’s see if we’re through it by the time we’re allowed out of the house before I’m through 30 seasons

Do yourself a favour and stop at 10 at the latest. Or at least cherry pick episodes from there!

Just purchased The Lighthouse
Mrs EB was like 'you seriously expect me to watch a film about two people in a confined space who slowly go mad?'
😆

That's a valid point! 😅
Watched the Platform last night, meh, gave it a 6/10
Not films but the Tiger documentary on Netflix is meant to be good
Enjoying watching Thunderball on ITV4 atm
The Platform.
Reminded me of Cube a little.
Prison that has hundreds of floors, 2 people per floor. Food comes down the middle on a floating floor, stays for 2 minutes then descends to the next floor. People at the top eat like kings, people at the bottom likely starve.
Every month people are relocated to different floors at random.
