Can you remember how the cassette was split up, hoe many cogs were fixed together and how many separate? I'm looking for a cassette to put on a Hope trials hub, it'll take 5 or 6 cogs and there's a Shimano cassette that's split correctly but something with more range would be good.

6 biggest cogs were pinned together but could easily be separated I think. 2 smallest cogs were loose.

Sweet, 6 might fit, can rip it apart if needed.

That looks so much better! How does it ride?

What, better than this??
It rides fine, surprised again by how well the shimergo 8-speed setup works. Brakes need bedding in and probably will get a slightly shorter stem but other than that I like it a lot!

A couple of small finishing touches. First, my standard decaleur hack. Two cheap gopro mounts off ebay, some random rack hardware and the ortlieb system I've got on my rack bag.

Next, a light mount. Piece of steerer tube filed to fit, some rubber gasket material left over from making mudflaps a few years ago, a top cap filed to fit inside the tube and a bolt.

If you find your light slipping, try stretching some old inner tube over the bracket. That’s worked for me.

Initial impressions:
- saddle is uncomfortable af, will probably get a flite as I like them.
- Stem is 10-15mm too long
- Need mudguards
- Handlebar tape isn't just for looks, it's uncomfortable without it.

Looking really good! Love the hacks as well.

Done for now except imminent saddle change. Rides really well, did a few commutes and some gravelly stuff so far. Think it's a keeper!

New project, wife wants a modern MTB and this orange p7 popped up locally. Plan is 140mm manitou magnum forks, hope/raceface wheels, 1x10 stuff from her old mtb.

Rolling chassis. Routing dropper post later and then time for a test fit with the intended user.
