No it couldn't, otherwise the tool he has already found to be unsuitable would be suitable 🙂

My friendly LBS was willing to lend me the correct tool (which they have used once in the 5 years they have it) and I got it out with medium swearing.
It's a Wheels MFG 386 EVO as it turns out. (cc @mdcc_tester )
