A cushion for that chair would be my priority.

Reading this thread instead of working - off to a good start I'd say

likewise

I've created my own cushion by doing barely any running or cycling in recent times.

All the remote workers feeling so smug these days.

Any decent over ears? Don't really need noise cancelling but probably do. Lessons have gone digital here so don't want to fuck around with my 18euro chinese in ears for too long.

Nice to not have the demoralising Sunday night work prep shit to do. Feels like I used to spend about 90% of my non-working hours cleaning fucking tupperware or work clothes

Was skim-reading and completely misread this

Mega thanks on this, worked flawlessly.

The app is much better, has quite a bit of functionality the webapp doesn't. Also avoids you losing the tab...

Still finding my feet a little. Working at home is presenting some challenges, mostly because of the amount of fucking calls.
-
• #167
I've got the work environment set up well, but damn... can't quite find a rhythm as there are way more calls than usual and it takes longer between calls to settle back into a task.
Life... interrupted.

is the dslr for your video calls?
-
• #169
Yes.... setup in this comment: https://www.lfgss.com/comments/15169146/
Using an Elgato Cam Link to turn the DSLR into a webcam... but just with a fancy lens. The difference is huge.

Could do with a large diaphragm condenser mic bring the audio up to comparable quality too.

could probably try and do something similar, but I cannot be arsed, and any more detail from my end would freak out my magnolia walled colleagues.

But if I split the audio, I'll need to go with headphones or ear pieces too... too annoying and I prefer the lack of clutter in this.
The Jabra 710 is pretty damn good, I have an old Shure microphone and a USB adaptor for that and the Jabra isn't noticeably worse but is way more convenient.

It's finally paid off to have loads of computers, keyboards, mice, monitors, etc around the house. Myself and my girlfriend can both work from home with reasonable setups which is a pretty fortunate place to be in. Hoping I can get through this working from home period without killing my back.

simple.
unplug the phone. Only take calls at a meeting time. Make people make meetings

These are all meetings... 8-12 per day, 30-60 minutes per meeting.
Work space needs some refinement
