We’re in a similar situation; it’s my grandmas 90th on Friday. She’s in the early to mid stages of dementia and it’s all she’s fixated on for the last 12-18 months.
The party organised for Saturday is cancelled but the biggest issue is trying to get her to stay inside. She doesn’t understand why and keeps forgetting the party is cancelled / Coronavirus is a thing.
It’s heartbreaking for my mum.
I think a few of us will head over there on Friday as we will have been isolated for over a week by then.
