Most people who get it from now on won't be tested. But this is covered by the new advice issued on Thursday.
If you have the symptoms (a high temperature, or a new, continuous cough) you self-isolate for seven days. It's seven days because most people will no longer be contagious after seven days with the symptoms. You are then free to go about your normal business, if you feel up to it (not guaranteed at all with coronavirus).
It will be impossible to test everyone who gets the virus as the situation escalates.
Reason I ask is there's presumably gonna be a lot of people who contract it and suffer the mild or even non-existent symptoms without being tested.
What society will really need is those people going back about their normal business asap, but I don't see how this is gonna be possible without proper confirmation.
