Wiggle are being Nobs

  • I ordered a helmet from Wiggle on the 5th that went AWOL. After multiple kickings by me, Wiggle finally prodded Hermes into finding the damn thing at their depot. It finally arrived on the 21st. No address issues, just Hermes.

I am at the point where I would pay for a premium to not choose Hermes.

£5 for Royal Mail > free Hermes

    You mean like this...

  • I know they don't name names there but I'm pretty sure that at least the "By guaranteed next day delivery..." option will not be Hermes and its a fiver so...

  • “Our next day delivery service is provided by either DPD, Hermes or Yodel”

    https://www.wiggle.co.uk/h/option/deliveries

  • Dumb, dumber and dumbest

  • Eurgh ffs!

  • Yeah. That is the problem, it's a crap shoot.

Named delivery companies would be a great option to have. I would choose Royal Mail every time.

  • After Wiggle sending the wrong handlebars through H*rmes last month and it taking forever, they have trumped themselves today, again via H*rmes

"Unfortunately your order was damaged in a courier trailer fire. Due to this we have processed a refund to your original payment method, this may take 3-5 working days to appear in your account. Unfortunately we couldn’t send a replacement this time as we no longer have stock available."

This was via an email from Wiggle customer service - the Hermes tracking page is still showing it in transit but 'a major event is slowing us down' - absolute farce of a company. Had resolved never to use them again after the last delivery being a total joke, but couldn't resist the deal Wiggle had on a woven Flite saddle...don't suppose anyone has one they'd like rid of?

  • "Unfortunately your order was damaged in a courier trailer fire. Due to this we have processed a refund to your original payment method, this may take 3-5 working days to appear in your account. Unfortunately we couldn’t send a replacement this time as we no longer have stock available."

Take it it was Wiggle that said this to you rather than Hermes?

    I've got,

    "09:00 - Sat 25 Jan
We've got your parcel and it's on its way but a major event is slowing us down. We'll get it to you as soon as we can"

A trailer fire may count as a major event eh?

  • Yep - it was Wiggle who got in touch rather than Hermes.

I have the exact same 'major event' statement (same time and date too) as you on the Hermes tracking page even now for the parcel that is apparently now nothing but ash.

Absolutely mental how Hermes are still in business, do not understand. I emailled Wiggle back saying that I appreciated their customer service but would not be buying from them again as long as they continued using Hermes. This obviously won't change anything but jeeeeeesussssss.

  • Absolutely mental how Hermes are still in business, do not understand.

Because their contract is with the sender not the recipient and for every recipient that has a bad experience and feeds that back to the sender there are probably a dozen that have a bad experience and dont and some that have a good experience.

I imagine that for the likes of Wiggle the savings from using them over a better company outweigh the cost or replacing things they lose.

Annoyingly my parcel is from an ebay seller who seems to think their responsibility ended when they handed the parcel off to Hermes...le sigh.

  • a better company

Even if there was one. B2C parcel delivery is even more of a race to the bottom than other branches of logistics.

  • Yesterday Hermes marked a package as 'delivered through the letterbox' while I was at home & provided a black image as a proof photo. No way it was fitting through a letterbox! Going to presume gone and buy from somewhere else.

  • Should this and the Warning! - Home Delivery Network and or Yodel - Do not use! threads be merged since a lot of the complaints about Wiggle seem to be based on them using Hermes?

A well thought out title for the new combined thread might prompt a response, if not a change, from Wiggle?

  • Just received a text telling me my Wiggle order was delivered by Hermes and signed for by myself. No parcel anywhere and a signature that's noting like mine is offered as proof of delivery on the tracking link. Nothing at the neighbours either. Joke of a company!

  • Joke of a company, but standard procedure - I once had some sunglasses 'delivered', with the signature forged. I did find the package in my mailbox - empty. That was also Hermes, back in Switzerland though.

In any case, complain to Wiggle, not Hermes. You paid to have your item delivered, and you did not get it.

  • Ordered one of the DHB polartec hats just after christmas, wiggle sent me the wrong size, then forgot to send me a replacement, so I have been waiting six weeks for this thing. Turned up today and it doesn't fit my fucking ears in. How hard is it to test hats? Moreover, why would you make a winter hat out of super primo material that doesn't adequately cover ears?

DHB has seriously lost their way, with what used to be cheap and cheerful stuff now costing the same as better brands, but not performing as well. The wiggle website is a fucking shitshow (trying to find the right size tire? I hope you like clicking!) and the delivery of their stuff is so painful that you are literally taking your chances.

  • I now use Collect+ with Wiggle/CRC orders - Are these still delivered by Hermes?

  • Bought something through their eBay:

  • Bought something from their eBay that was meant to be a 15x100 Hope Pro 4 front hub. The listing said that, the invoice said that, but both the box that I received and the part inside said 15x110. I contacted them and they said that that was the correct part they shipped, as the number on the box matched the invoice despite it being patently obvious that it was wrong. Offered a discount for me to keep the hub, which of course would be impossible to fit. I don't think they give a toss what they send out.

Previously received multiple parts from them that had clearly been returned, had customer's details inside the package and it was for instance a RHS rear brake inside rather than the expected RHS front brake. I can only assume someone has bought the item, returned a cheaper rear brake and got a full refund so technically getting the correct part for the price of the US spec one.

  • They wouldn't sell on ebay under a different name if it was brand new and correct.

It is clearance, will nearly all be incorrect or used.

  • I don't mind used, damaged or otherwise not perfect condition. But at the very least I would expect the item to be as described.

  • Paid for next day delivery at wiggle, the item turned up 3 days later with Hermes. Next time I ordered from Chain Reactions not realising its the same company and again sent with Hermes and arrived a day late.

  • For any uni-dexters out there who didn’t get the roll of Tarzan, Wiggle have the perfect shoe combination (left foot and size 40 only).
