Those numbers does make the reactions so far seem a bit drastic .
Spanish flu killed 50 million plus in a malnourished, impoverished world and was underreported.
That one killed more younger people this covid-19 seems to spare them .
One of the obvious differences is that we know every little detail on an almost real-time basis , so we rush out and buy stuff.

Yet it seems to be tailing off in China , I realise the Chinese numbers may not be reliable but if it was the opposite, with high death rates and mass burials etc , could even they keep that quiet ?
Couldn’t it be seen by a satellite?
Probably all questions easily answered by those in the know .
On another note , I was at a gig last night , a few hundred doing the mosh thing , secure in their own youth .It was kind of reassuring and made me smile
China has had it for 3 months now, and 3100 odd deaths in China.
It’s been in Italy for what, a month now, with 1000 deaths.
Why will the U.K. have up to 497,000 more deaths?
Seems like quite the jump...
