  • alright calm down office de tourisme

  • Tomorrow is trial work from home day for us lot. See if the technology can cope.

  • Paris Nice on. I'm sure your tech can cope with that.

    Shitey TT stage tho ;(

  • Only 99% of the time.
    I'm disappointed.

  • Because eggs will store well when the apocalypse comes.

Unless they make more pasta with them.

  • What did they say?

  • A mix of better compliance with the relevant protocols, and outright manipulation of the numbers, I reckon.

  • Not joking Lidl in Peckham is the same...

  • I work for an NHS clinical commissioning group - only communication we’ve received is 1 paltry email about washing our hands and being able to WFH at short notice. No hand sanitizer or any other provisions and bogs that keep breaking. I really want to work from home as the office is soul destroying!

  • Asked if he's been briefed that up to 100M could ultimately be
exposed, Trump: "I've been briefed on every contingency you could
possibly imagine. Many contingencies. A lot of positive. Different
numbers, all different numbers, very large numbers, and some small
    numbers too."

  • I'm thinking of self-isolating. I got back from big lad-stag in Prague on Sunday, felt alright yesterday but then had a decidedly sweaty night of sleep last night. Will see if we've got a thermometer somewhere in the house and see how sleep goes tonight. I know it all sounds very hangovery but seems to be no harm in erring on the side of caution. Really wish I'd brought my laptop home though.

  • That’s a comedown...

  • If you actually read the first document you linked to, it says (for the handwash): "Duration of the entire procedure: 40-60 seconds". If you watch the NHS video in your second link, you will see it is 41 seconds long (41 is a number between 40 and 60, by the way). The 20 seconds refers to the part where you rub your hands together; the video even times it and plays Happy Birthday twice!

  • Ive been properly ill after something similar, no one believed me.

  • I'm going to inevitably look quite the fool when I'm fine in a few days, but the university is swamped with people every day. If it turns out I've been swanning around campus with the infection (and sti(s) to boot) while feeling unwell and able to work at home it would be pretty shitty behaviour.

  • Sounds like definitely the right thing to do, so good on you!

  • It would be hard to not be pissed off with someone who knowingly comes to work feeling unwell after being abroad no matter what the reason, it’s not worth the risk.

  • Surely more chance of passing on Covid than the sti(s)... dunno, not been to uni in many years..

  • The lady who sits opposite my wife at work was sent home with a fever today. At which point she casually mentions that she was in northern Italy last week.

Curiously, the company (big multinational), has told people on that particular floor that they will be sent home IF the lady tests positive. Not exactly reassuring given that those results won't be back for a few days.

  • whatthefuckiswrongwithpeople.jpg

  • Aldi had Aveeno handcream on
Specialbuy yesterday. Anticipating Just this scenario it seems.

  • If your company doesn't pay you if you don't turn up for work then you can not blame them.

  • NHS 111 online service questionnaire isn't recommending self-isolating. Will see what tomorrow brings and go from there.

  • Central London at midday today I walked up Regent Street after a meeting, it was quieter than I’ve ever seen it. Tube over to Bank and met a friend for lunch at a place that’s always heaving, we walked in and had our pick of four tables.
