And as for the Skag Weasels...

Very very very slowly building a bike off 'ere... finally at the 'which dropper' selection point:
I have the cheapest KS Ten one with a horrible lever, but works just fine on my old school 26er... what am I missing out on compared to less budget options?
For context, bike currently is getting XT level stuff, but not overly familiar with droppers beyond what I've used...

The brand x dropper was recommended to me as a reliable-ish cheap option

Brand X is great, it works, it’s really easy to service, only down side is the lever is a bit cheap.
Other option I'd consider is a One Up, bit more expensive, better lever, shorter shaft. And a good description for your tinder profile.

I've got a brand X with a bontrager lever, on the one test I've given it I'd recommend.

Brand-X droppers are great. I think it's likely they make a large portion of the mechanical droppers out there for many brands.

Anyone remember Millyard Racing? They're getting back in the downhill game.

back in the downhill game.
With XC geometry? I've had longer, and slacker, wanks than that when I should be going to work.

That's the bike from twelve years ago. It was truly revolutionary. Look into it.
They built everything in their front room from the ground up, frame, shock, sealed gearbox drivetrain. Elder Millyard is a bonkers engineer who has built a motorbike with a Dodge Viper V10 engine for shits and giggles in order to reach 250mph. He's got to 207mph currently.
His son races downhill.
They're using a stock bike currently with a truly amazing proprietary shock they built.
Steve Jones, of Dirt Magazine and now EMBN, had a downhill track in his back yard (I think) called "1:04" as that was the best time the best bikes and best pros could do on it. He jumped on the Millyard rig and beat that time by two seconds. He then found out the frame had 150mm travel. The shock technology is the type used on tanks by the military, provided unreal traction and tracking of the ground.

I’m pretty certain 62° is about as slack as is useful. So probably not great, definitely Chris Porter has built a slacker than 62° bike and Cotic have and said it was too far.
Obviously this is somewhat use perception, Chris Porter was running forks with CSU turned the opposite way to reduce the fork offset, and said 30mm is right in a Geometron, then I heard the guy from Push Industries say 55mm is right.
So yeah, I guess that answers your question.

Any interest in some Spank Spike Vibrocore handlebars? Cut to 690mm so maybe a touch short for some people here but very comfortable bars. Main graphics have since been acetoned off but clamp info still there, thinking around £35 if anyone is interested.
