It’s a good route choice- it’s what I do- but I’m usually on 35mm marathons or bigger and gears! Either way it’s a sod of a hill.
Libby’s in Marple bridge high st is a great cake stop- back garden over the river for bikes. Norfolk arms on the corner as you come into Marple bridge good for beer and food- big front garden where you could sit with the bikes. Dutsons on the high st does ice cream but no bike parking
