Desk diving with the SKX007 on an oyster bracelet today.. recently changed from having it on a jubilee for the last few years...

Popped into the Omega boutique on Oxford St at lunch, ordered the strap and clasp - £330.

Ahhh it's the expensive one!
Yep it is nice... Beyond what I want to spend at the moment though

Always look good these .
Classic
Oyster trumps jubilee in my book .
Why they discontinued them , rather than a simple crystal and movement upgrade is odd , they must still sell a lot ? -

That's not bad at all. Deployment clasp?

It looks surprisingly classy on metal. Funny old watch, the SKX. Seems easy to tailor it to suit different functions.

Deployment clasp
Deployant clasp 😉

Yeah, I was surprised how much the switch from jubilee to oyster changed the look of it.. has a sort of 'sub' look to it.

Ah yes, you’re right. I do see it used (wrongly) quite often on websites as well tbh.
Thanks!

Which combo did you go for?

Not just me who can't line up their SKX bezel 100% at 12 o'clock then? 😛

A colleague of mine has this exact combo, it looks great.

Success! No need to bother the watchmaker. Just took a quieter house, the kid at daycare, wife at work and me with a day off. Bracelet back on. I might have to go for a surf now I have a few hours free. (Grabs G-Shock) I do need to polish the acrylic on the speedy though. Looking quite well used.

Well done, I was going to suggest one of those pincer tools but I can see you already have one. I had to change the forks on mine for larger ones so I can compress both ends of the spring bar with the bracelet/endlink and then slide the whole lot straight in between the lugs.
Out of all my watches fitting the bracelet on my Speedy gives me the most grief. Are the endlinks solid on yours?

Was £330 a special deal because you’re a repeat customer? Very cheap compared to when I was looking, I think that’ll look great on the Tin Tin.
Speaking of which came across this the other day, maybe taking things a bit far...

That strap is gopping

I agree but if you’re a nerd about the early NASA space programs they’re important. Not for me.

I think the rocket would have been on the left hand dial if Herge’s estate had given permission?

Yeah, something like that, no way they would’ve molested the chronohand like ^. There are pictures of the prototype but I’ve never seen them.
I think they are really, really lovely...but I could never wear one. Can't see myself developing CB size forearms in my stage of life :
