  • Had a Covid 19 swab taken today after developing some symptoms on the corona list after a long haul flight, but also due to overlap with someone diagnosed positive on the floor below me at work.
Gagging for the result to come back negative, happy with the precaution but the 48-96 hrs wait is gonna stretch thin.

  • Ah makes sense. Sorry!

And yes, though maybe you can get it twice, who knows.

  • So what's the status now? Self isolated?

    Get well soon.

  • Advice from the land of my people

  • That's brilliant.
(have just been chopping chillies all evening for a big Indian meal and respect the advice very sincerely)

  • Sounds interesting!

Let me know if you need lackeys... Hahaha

  • I think we’ll survive corona but all die from contact dermatitis from bootleg Carex handwash

  • bring it on.

  • @WornCleat just hoping you are okay dude.

    Nothing else to say.

  • Cheers all. Think I am through the worst bits

  • Of man flu, glad you survived.

  • I'm in Dubai airport - many, many people wearing masks. Unfortunately they're mostly a combination of builders masks, eye masks being work over the mouth, incredibly thin ones and mostly worn on an angle so people can still talk to their mates.

  • I used Senate House when I was QMC student and don't recall any soap on spikes in the toilets.

  • $5000 in Singapore for spitting in the street.
I'm not a clean freak but singapore is only place I've been so far where i didnt have to check where i sat or put my hands etc

  • Both me and my wife had standard flu last month. It's pretty shit at the time but actually for me the worst bit was the slow recovery. Just felt knackered all the time. It's been years since I had a virus so I just expected to be fine after a few days, like when you have a cold.

    GWS

  • When I had flu 2 years ago it was horrific. I got into bed on Sunday feeling tired and shitty and got out again on Thursday not remembering a single thing and weighing 3kg less. My wife would come in every day and feed me food and water and change the bed sheets but I don't remember anything about it. It's the sickest I'd ever been.

  • flu jab is an RRTY essential

  • ^^ yeah had the same about five years ago, it's the kinda thing if you get in your seventies or eighties and that'll finish you

  • I do flu jab ery year now.

12 sheets fo peace of mind.

Is not like antibiotic either. It encourages yo immunity.

  • I had H1N1 when I still lived in London. Thought I would die.

  • Thought this is worth mentioning because it shows a different kind of impact from Covid-19.

My old Mum has Alzheimers and has just had a worsening of a very unpleasant pre-existing condition that requires surgical intervention to avoid serious complications. She's currently avoiding going to see her specialist at hospital because she's scared of catching Coronavirus.

There are a lot of unwell people who are in a very difficult position because of what is going on.

Clearly the priority is what you have now rather than what you haven't got yet. Will take some persuading.

  • That's a tough decision for her to make. I would be reluctant too.

  • BBC photoshopping thumbnails for clickbait...
