Yeah, no date is king for me.

Not having the date annoys you? Whys that? I thought the BB58 was your perfect watch
-
• #42579
The size is wicked but I've realised I very rarely know what the date is.

Lovely...

In my mind this is the de facto watch to have.
-
• #42582
And in many around the world. It's the watch really, isn't it.

It's got an amazing presence. A truly wonderful marketing story.

This is the green version, I couldn’t find the red for ya .
Better without a date IMHO.. a faff to change unless it’s a daily -

I have the same with my Seamaster, the amount of times I’ve looked at it to check the date....guess I’ll never learn. 🤣
Submariner or the Speedmaster 57 would have to be my next watch. Aim is to have it before the end of the year.

I sold a high value watch to somebody on eBay recently. The buyer is in Chile.
Postage ended up costing £150 in order to make sure it is insured for the correct amount. I underestimated the postage costs so I actually covered some of it.
Buyer is kicking off because he's got a $600 import tax bill and accusing me of being reckless for declaring it's true value.
FFS. The parcel travelled from Stansted to Memphis to Brazil to Argentina to Santiago before being handed off to a third party for delivery. As if there was a chance in hell that I wasn't going to insure/declare for the full amount 🤔

Madness.

I check the date on a watch with no date... I also do a little subconscious wrist-twist to ‘wind’ the automatic movement whenever I look at the time..
This pointless habit has now extended to when I’m wearing a digital watch. CSB etc. -

I’ve not investigated this but arrived on my insta feed.

reckless for declaring it's true value.
As much as a ball ache as it is, if he's said stuff like that in messages then you should be fine.

Ah .. i bought it at Hilliers , they have 10% off at the moment and free delivery
-

He must have known this was a possibility.
Trouble with eBay is they always seem to side with the buyer .
Wish you well with that ... you did the right thing IMHO -

I agree with you. And if he's written as much via ebay comms I believe you have a case as he's admitted to fraud.
I’m very happy that I got the standard Submariner rather than the Submariner date, but it’s nice that there is an option there.
