Deore for cargo bike? Freehub are ok for normal use, but personally would spend the extra £20 and get a (generation just gone out) xt with 36 point engagement freehub, better axle/cone assembly, much better weather sealing and have yet to see a broken freehub on them (see them on various light cargo bikes and bike polo bikes). They come in disc (spline) or rim brake "T" flavour
Upgrade time. Currently running a budget 10-speed MTB wheel at the back. The wheel that came with the bike is quite a nice sturdy rim with thick gauge stainless spokes on a 3-speed Sturmey Archer S-RF3 hub. Nice, but pointless. I'm going to re-lace it onto a Shimano Deore M525 hub. No major differences other than definite peace of mind with the stronger rim and spokes, it'll match the front and the wider rim ought to make putting the tyres on a bit easier.
I've been trying to work out what bike uses the S-RF3 hub, for resale reasons. I think it might be a Brompton part, but not with 36 holes.
