Re-taped one wheel, replaced valve with WTB one. plenty of sealant and this now appears to be ok.
second wheel, did not re-tape (i checked and it appeared to be a good seal), replaced valve. first lot of sealant and it went down, using the submersion in water test the valve core was leaking so replaced that, plenty more sealant and it appears to be holding.
I'll pop them the bike later and take them for a spin.
